In this week's lab, we explored TIN and DEM elevation models which we compare and contrast the models to each other. In the image above, shows the hard breakline of the bearlake.shp which is not present in the current data. This data was inserted by using the Edit TIN in ArcScene which the edges of the touching the lake feature replaced by hard edges. This allow for the outline shape of the lake to be present in the TIN data without needing the present of the lake shapefile dataset. The kind of technique is unique to TIN model since the lake feature's edge are imbedded into the model unlike the DEM model where the data would have to be on its own shapefile.

Photo Interpretation and Remote Sensing (GIS4035): Lab 6
In this week's lab, we learned to spatial enhance images using ERDAS Imagine and ArcMap. We learned about different types of filters that can spatial enhance a image which were high pass filter which creates more define edges to the features in the image and low pass filter were blurred the edges of the features. Also, Focal Statistics tool was also utilized during the lab created some of these filters' effects.

Special Topics in GIS (GIS5935): Lab 6
In this week's lab, we learned about location-allocation analysis. We have to change the original market areas associated with the Distribution Centers to be able to mean the demands of the customers. 16 of the market areas were reassigned to different distribution centers. This lab was a bit of a challenge due to the FacilityID numbers starting at 23 instead of 1 which caused a bit of confusion.

Special Topics In GIS (GIS5935): Lab 5
In this week's lab, we have to deal with a scenario where a distribution center was not able to make all of the pick-ups orders in the same day because there were only 14 trucks on the road. Some of these trucks were met with time violations due to overcompensating for the lack of additional trucks to assist with orders. To fix this, we added to additional 2 trucks to the routes which helped alleviate some of the burden off the other trucks and all of the orders were able to be assigned to a route and be completed that day.
The new solution would provide better customer service because the trucks are not having to compensation for being two trucks short on the road. This allows the trucks be able to make it to each of pick-up locations without having be strain on time from having too many orders on one route.

Photo Interpretation and Remote Sensing (GIS4035): Lab 5a
In this week's lab, we learned about using EDRAS IMAGINE Viewers for manipulating raster data. We were taught the basis of how to use EDRAS and how to create a subset image from raster data.
