Intro to GIS: Week 3 - GIS Cartography

In this week's lab, we used ArcMap to create three different maps of
Mexico with various datasets which UWF provided for us. The first
map showed the population of each state in Mexico, the second showed
Central Mexico's urban areas, highways, rivers, and railroad systems,
and the third showed the topography of Mexico. During the lab, we were
able to utilize different programs of ArcGIS, such as, ArcCatalog
which helped us gain immediate access to the data files while using
ArcMap.

When I was working on this, I had a little bit of difficulty with the
map's fixed zoom while in the second map when trying to focus on
Central Mexico as well as with the inset map of the United States. I fixed
the issue by going into 'Data View' and adjusting the fixed zoom of
each map so it wasn't too zoomed in on both area of the map.
Once this problem was dealt with, building the maps was a smooth process.
